The opportunity

Outlook is proud to have been appointed as one of the collection point operators and related operations, as part of the incoming Victoria Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), commencing 1st November 2023, which will see transformation in Victoria’s waste and recycling networks and making a positive difference to the community and environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the start up of this new operation. You will manage and lead a small team, and you will be involved in the growth and development of Outlook’s CDS operations.

We are seeking an Team Leader to oversee our container deposit scheme processing operations. This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to maintaining the highest customer service levels. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of container sorting and recycling processes, along with the ability to lead a small team that manually sort and count recyclable beverage containers.

About you

Reporting into the Area Manager, you will be responsible for the holistic ownership of the Bayswater depot, ensuring the efficient coordination and delivery of daily operations and team management. You will be the driving force for the achievement of operational targets, people, safety, quality, cost and problem solve day to day operational issues.

Essential to the success of this role, you will possess the following attributes:

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role

• Ability to train, motivate and engage a small team

• Motivated with a strong work ethic 

• Have a positive “can do” attitude

• Good communication, literacy, and numerical skills

• Computer literacy in MS Office and the ability to pick up new systems
