Position Overview

The Volunteer Coach is responsible for the identification of volunteering opportunities for the Disability Services participants.

The role is 15.2 hours per week and the successful candidate will be required to work across Narre Warren and Moorabbin. Reporting to the Senior Practice Lead, who in turn reports to the Disability Services Manager, the volunteer coach will be part of a vibrant, progressive, and exciting team.

The Volunteer Coach has 4 primary areas of responsibility:

  • Volunteer Coordination & Support

  • Marketing, Networking and Promotion

  • Administration

  • Quality and OHS

About you

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Relevant qualification (preferred)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, coach and develop a diverse team

  • To be flexible, reliable and dependable and willing to participate in the development of leading-edge programs and service delivery options.

  • A customer and outcomes-focused approach

  • Proven competency in system skills (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, OHS reporting etc.)

  • Demonstrated capacity for flexibility to work within a changing and fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated commitment to a safe and healthy workplace

  • Commitment to and support of Outlook’s core values and code of conduct

Additional Information

Mandatory requirements:

  • Experience in similar leadership roles or supervision of highly effective teams in the disability or community services sectors

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification

  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • Current Police Check

  • Current Working with Children’s Check

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Triple Vaccinations required
