About the Role The Workplace Coach assists NDIS customers in Outlook’s Steps to Employment program to achieve successful work placements to build their skill and capacity in work readiness and provide on the job support to ensure their success in that placement. This is contract position for 7 months covering Maternity Leave of existing staff member.

The position is responsible for facilitating and supporting the delivery of the customers employment goals. This will involve working with customers across areas inclusive of but not limited to, general skill development, program development, training and employment.

This will involve working closely with the customer, staff and Team Leaders to build the skills, address barriers (including psychosocial) and motivate NDIS customers to enable them to gain suitable employment through work placement and trails. Transition to Outlooks Disability Employment Service (DES) & securing sustainable paid employment is the end goal for STEPS customers.

This rewarding role will see you working with our customers to deliver high quality, effective services to support them to progress towards achieving the goals contained in their NDIS Plan, within the NDIS framework and budget, with strengths-based, person-centred and self-directed approaches.

The role is community based and involves building community inclusion based on the individual customer’s goals. You will work as part of a remote team, where flexibility, a solution focus and strong communication skills are critical success factors.
