Service Description

Do you work in the Disability Services sector? Are you keen to further develop yourself professionally? This short course, delivered in July, will provide you with additional skills to assist in your career. This course provides a basic introduction to PEG tubes and including nutrition, hydration and medication administration. Course includes an overview of the digestive system, indications for gastrostomy, considerations for care support, the importance of oral hygiene, psychosocial considerations and troubleshooting/problem solving. Please note all participants must have current medication administration competency. Cancellation Policy

If the Centre cancels a class because minimum numbers are not met, students will be advised in advance wherever possible and all fees will be refunded. If you withdraw from a class more than 7 days before the advertised commencement date, a refund less an administration charge of $15 will be made. No refund will be given if you withdraw from a class less than 7 days before the advertised course start date.
