About You and the Role

We’re looking for an experienced payroll professional who in addition to having strong technical skills, exceptional attention to detail and great organisational skills is also a great communicator and genuinely loves what they do. Strong prior experience is a must as we’re looking for someone who can join the team and hit the ground running to immediately have a positive impact. This role also brings with it the opportunity to help select and drive the implementation of a new payroll system, including ensuring integration with our CRM, accounting and related systems.

The role is part-time (20hrs / week) and with the exception of payroll days (every second Tuesday) we’re flexible on setting the days and hours of work each week. You’ll report directly to the Finance Manager and join a small passionate team dedicated to supporting the Organisation achieve its short and long term goals.

In your new role you will be responsible for the following:

  • End to end processing of payroll on a fortnightly basis in line with Awards, EBA’s and National and State legislation including compliance with all Single Touch Payroll and other statutory reporting requirements

  • Reconciliation of fortnightly and month end payroll entries against General Ledger

  • Processing and reconciliation of all wage related payments including Superannuation, Workcover and Long Service Leave

  • Managing the year end reporting and compliance process

  • Assistance with and maintenance of employee file documentation such as contracts, variations, terminations and other employee records

  • Ensuring all new employee details are accurately entered into the HRIS and properly onboarded

  • Monitoring employee licencing and related requirements and managing the renewal process to ensure records and certifications are up to date at all times

  • Preparation of payroll related reporting and statistics

  • Be the main point of contact for Staff when it comes to payroll related queries, including Award interpretation

  • And of course there will be those ad hoc tasks and requirements that always come up

About the job

Environmental Contract Supervisor | Yeppoon, QLD | Full-time, Part-time (Grade 6)


Location: Yeppoon, will need to travel to other sites. Hours: 38 hrs per week - Monday to Friday: To be confirmed Expected start date: 01/07/2021 This position will work as part of an Outlook Commercial site management team that works to meet specific organisational & contractual objectives.
The position includes supervising staff with the day-to-day business operation of the transfer station and on an as needs basis may include taking responsibility for other operating aspects of the business on the site as directed by the Contract Supervisor. This position will also take on delegated responsibilities and line management in absence of the site manager as required. Interaction, including directing, with members of the public may also be required.

Environmental Loader Operator | Yeppoon, QLD | Full-time, Part-time (Grade 4)

Hours: Full-time/Part-time or casual as per contract of employment Expected start date: 01/07/2021 About the Role This position will work as part of an Outlook Commercial site management team that will work to meet specific organisational & contractual objectives. Effective management of this ‘hands on’ coordination role on the Transfer Station ensures Outlook Commercial achieves its primary focus of maximising Resource Recovery by way of returns from the sale of recycled/reusable items retrieved from the solid waste stream.
As part of the site management team this role is responsible for ensuring a safe workplace for employees and customers and arranging and/or providing the supervision, support, training, learning, and development required by employees to ensure they undertake their duties safely and effectively. This role is required to co-ordinate work for a team environment as well as work independently under minimal instruction.
The position requires salvaging, identifying items that can be sold or recycled and may involve handling material such as metal, wood, cardboard, mattresses, oil, car batteries, tyres, paint, and general household items in both an outdoor and indoor environment.
Working as an experienced licenced and certified plant operator, this position requires you to have good knowledge of Outlook Commercial operations and how this relates to the production process and the recycled goods shop, dealing with the sale of limited lines of new items (refreshments, tools etc) and a wide range of second-hand recycled goods, nursery plants and garden supplies/products.
You will be required to interact daily with the public assisting them in purchasing items & when necessary direct them with regards to safety, rules of the transfer station and Outlook’s policies and procedures. This position requires effective skills in customer service and dealing with customer complaints and conflict management as it arises, in conjunction with the Contract Supervisor/Supervisors.
Administrative and financial management tasks are an essential part of daily work duties, including cash handling, basic computer usage, daily records management, understanding and application of quality control functions and staff management.
