We’re proud to share that Outlook has successfully secured a new waste management contract with Banana Shire Council, covering three sites across the region.
The contract includes the continued management of the Biloela transfer station and Refindit by Outlook reuse shop, which Outlook already operates, along with two additional locations at Moura and Banana. Moura will operate as a staffed site, while Banana will run as an unstaffed facility. Together, this marks a meaningful expansion of our footprint in Central Queensland.
The new agreement is structured as a 2 + 2 year contract and is expected to support at least nine local jobs across the three sites. For Outlook, it represents both growth and continuity. This is our first contract renewal following a successful initial term with Banana Shire Council and a strong vote of confidence in the quality of our service delivery.
Importantly, this contract helps us to continue to reinforce the groundwork for our ongoing presence in the state. Expanding from one site to three in Banana reflects not only operational capability, but the trust built through consistent performance, safety and community-focused outcomes.
Our work at the Biloela site has demonstrated how inclusive employment, environmental responsibility and efficient operations can go hand-in-hand. We’re excited to carry that approach forward into Moura and Banana, tailoring our operations to meet the needs of each site and community.
Waste management plays a critical role in regional communities, supporting environmental protection while creating stable local employment. Through this contract, Outlook will continue to deliver reliable, high-quality services while creating inclusive job opportunities and positive social impact across the Banana Shire.
We look forward to working closely with Banana Shire Council over the coming years and building on the strong partnership we’ve already established. Three sites, one great outcome, and plenty to be proud of.
