About the job

Outlook is proud to have been appointed as one of the collection point operators and related operations, as part of the incoming Victoria Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), commencing 1st  November 2023, which will see transformation in Victoria’s waste and recycling networks and making a positive difference to the community and environment.

 

We have a number of opportunities available within our Ravenhall container deposit depot site. We are looking to employ a number of Recycling Attendants to work across a 7-day rotating roster.

 

We are seeking environmentally, and inclusivity focused, motivated people to join our diverse team to engage in a variety of tasks which includes, effective customer service, inspect and sort eligible CDS containers to ensure they meet the recycling depot guidelines, processing customer transactions, assist with movement of containers around the depot using appropriate plant and equipment and ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and all items are correctly counted and correct refunds are calculated for customers.

 

About You

You will need, at a minimum:

  • A friendly personality

  • Understands WHS culture and demonstrates this in daily work

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop rapport with a broad range of customers

  • Sound numerical and mathematical ability

  • Able to follow instructions and procedures

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • To adhere to safe work practices, and take direction

 

PLEASE NOTE- We will offer full training for successful candidates

 

Schedule:

Our site operation hours are between 8.00am – 5.00pm - 7 days per week. We will require successful candidates to be flexible to work Monday to Sunday, which may include Public Holidays and weekends. Weekend and public holiday rates apply if rostered on.

 

More Information

Successful candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check as well as a pre-employment medical and drug test. Random drug and alcohol testing may occur at depot, once employed.
